Dr. Lori McCoy, CEO & Co-Founder
Dr. McCoy is a Kentucky native. She is a graduate of the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. As a physician, she strives to be an advocate for her patients and enjoys seeing patients of all ages. She enjoys personally connecting with her patients and encouraging them as they work to achieve their health and aesthetic goals. Advanced Primary Care was named a national "Hero of Healthcare" in 2019, based on patient submissions. Dr. McCoy believes in practicing medicine that puts patients first. She also seeks out opportunities to help employers "think outside the box" when it comes to providing affordable and high-quality health benefits to their employees. She believes "with God, all things are possible." In her free time, she enjoys traveling, concerts, and fly fishing. She serves on the boards of Revitalize Russell and Appalachian Commerce and Development Corporation, both nonprofit organizations.
Brea Boggs-Cline, CNP
Brea’ is an experienced Nurse Practitioner with a diverse clinical background. She graduated from Capital University with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in 2014. She began her career as a critical care nurse and travel nurse before continuing her education and earning her Master of Science in Nursing degree from Ohio University in 2019. Brea’ is also certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Brea’ is passionate about patient care and serving the community that helped shape her. Her goal is to be a great provider, a compassionate listener, and a strong advocate for each patient she cares for. Outside of medicine, Brea’ enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, playing guitar, and, of course, going to Disney. She is active in her church and believes God has placed her exactly where she is meant to be — caring for the wonderful patients at Advanced Primary Care. As part of Brea’s personal message, she shares the following scripture: “Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong. And do everything with love.” 1 Corinthians 16:13-14
Alona Gilliam, COO & Co-Founder
Alona Gilliam is the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Advanced Primary Care, the Tri-State area’s first Direct Primary Care practice, now serving patients from locations in Kentucky and West Virginia. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in Healthcare and Business Administration and is a Licensed Limited Radiographer.
With more than 30 years of experience in healthcare and business administration, Alona has helped establish, develop, and manage physician practices, a primary care clinic, and a continuing care retirement community. Her business experience began while assisting her parents with their successful electrical mining company, where she developed a strong foundation in entrepreneurship, leadership, dedication, and service.
In addition to Advanced Primary Care, Alona is a Managing Partner of Empower Academy Beauty School, River Cities Management Group, and Appalachian Commerce & Development Corporation, a nonprofit organization focused on community and economic development. She is also a Co-Owner of BridgePoint AI Solutions and Journey Ventures. Alona formerly served as Vice President of Revitalize Russell, a nonprofit organization dedicated to revitalization, local business growth, and economic development.
Outside of work, Alona enjoys boating, fishing, spending time near the ocean, lakes, and mountains, listening to a variety of music, and visiting the Smoky Mountains. She especially treasures time with her family and friends and her beloved doodle, Maverick. Her mother continues to be one of her greatest supporters and encouragers, helping and inspiring her each day. Alona is deeply thankful for the family and friends who have supported her throughout the years and faithfully stood by her side.
Alona gives God all the honor and glory for her accomplishments and is grateful to her parents for instilling in her compassion, ambition, a strong work ethic, and the courage to pursue her dreams.

Staci King, RN, BSN
Staci is a graduate of Ohio University Southern with over 15 years of acute and critical care experience. She has a passion for patient education and for helping others look and feel their best. She believes in a safety-first approach while providing compassionate and skilled care. Staci is also an experienced aesthetic injector certified by the Aesthetic Consulting and Training Academy and the National Laser Institute. She has trained with several nationally recognized aesthetic trainers and continues to advance her aesthetic education to provide her patients with a subtle, enhanced, and "refreshed" appearance. In her free time, she enjoys time with family, traveling, boating and spending time outdoors. She is thankful for her families both at work and at home and values the relationships she has built with her patients over the years.
